Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Dock Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the loading and unloading of vessels, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dock.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo from vessels
- Secure boats to docks using ropes and lines
- Operate fuel pumps
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dock area
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks on dock equipment and rental boats
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on docks or in a marine environment is preferred
- Ability to rig and secure boats safely
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions
